Joni Mitchell once sang “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”. And it’s a lesson we’ve all learned over the past year or so.
The friends and family members that we took for granted and never quite found the time to see. The long overdue visits where we promised not to leave it so long next time – only to end up leaving it even longer.
We missed them all so much when the lockdown landed.
A second chance
We’ve lost a lot to Covid, but we’ve also gained a lot too. We’ve come to understand just how important our friends and family are to us, and how much it means to spend quality time with them.
Now that we’re finally allowed to get together again, and enjoy a much-missed hug, we’ll never take them for granted in the same way again. Joni was right; we didn’t know what we had ‘til it was gone, but now we have a second chance to appreciate just how lucky we are to have family and friends.
Time to party
It’s been a long and frustrating wait, but from 17th May you’ll be allowed to have up to 30 people gather in your garden, which sounds like a great excuse for a party!
